Realtors® Donate $10,000 to Aid Hurricane Victims

September 23, 2004, West Babylon, NY - The Long Island Board of Realtors®, Inc.,(LIBOR) a non profit trade association comprised of 21,000 professional real estate professionals, has donated $10,000 to the Hurricane Disaster Relief Fund established by the Florida Association of Realtors® (FAR) to aid victims of Hurricane Charley and Frances.

The Relief Fund was established in August, shortly after Hurricane Charley, a category 4 Hurricane, left thousands of Floridians homeless, millions without power and water, and property damage in the billions. Since that time, Florida has been hit by a second hurricane, Frances. Russell Grooms, President of the FAR reports that thousands of Realtor® members need to find shelter for their families, and have incurred large out of pocket expenses as a result of the hurricanes.

To make a tax-deductible contribution to FAR's Disaster Relief Fund, make checks payable to: FAR Disaster Relief Fund, 7025 Augusta National Dr., Orlando, FL 32822. In the memo line, write "For FAR Disaster Relief Fund." For more info, CONTACT: , 407/438-1400 ext 2320.
