Realtors® Donate $10,000 to Aid Hurricane
Victims
September 23, 2004, West Babylon, NY - The Long Island
Board of Realtors®, Inc.,(LIBOR) a non profit trade association comprised
of 21,000 professional real estate professionals, has donated $10,000
to the Hurricane Disaster Relief Fund established by the Florida Association
of Realtors® (FAR) to aid victims of Hurricane Charley and Frances.
The Relief Fund was established in August, shortly after Hurricane Charley,
a category 4 Hurricane, left thousands of Floridians homeless, millions
without power and water, and property damage in the billions. Since that
time, Florida has been hit by a second hurricane, Frances. Russell Grooms,
President of the FAR reports that thousands of Realtor® members need
to find shelter for their families, and have incurred large out of pocket
expenses as a result of the hurricanes.
To make a tax-deductible contribution to FAR's Disaster Relief Fund,
make checks payable to: FAR Disaster Relief Fund, 7025 Augusta National
Dr., Orlando, FL 32822. In the memo line, write "For FAR Disaster
