| Queens County
Queens County, while physically located on Long Island, is often considered
more a part of the New York City Metropolitan area because Queens is one
of New York City’s "five boroughs," meaning it falls under
the government of New York City. Queens encompasses 112.1 square miles, which
includes approximately 196 miles of waterfront property. It’s boundaries
run from Brooklyn from the west, Nassau at the east, and water boundaries
are shared with Manhattan and the Bronx. Nearly 2 million people call Queens
their home.
